
THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION
The purpose of the association is to assist and resource the God-given vision of the churches. We are accomplishing this task by focusing on three key areas of REACH UP, REACH IN and REACH OUT.
REACH UP – FOCUSING ON PRAYER AND WORSHIP
●CVBA Prayer Team led by Dr. Scott Frady
●Connecting local pastors together through weekly prayer cohorts
●Encouraging local churches to come together for joint worship services, revivals and evangelistic events
●Daily prayer guide for our CVBA churches
●Partnering together to pray for every home in the Catawba Valley Baptist Association
●We have adopted 11,100 homes through 20 churches
●Next Steps Training using BlessEveryHome
●Prayer Walking Training
●Praying your friends to Christ training
REACH IN – FOCUSING ON DISCIPLISM AND CHURCH HEALTH
●CVBA Church Health Team led by Dr. Chuck Campbell
●Providing relevant training in evangelism and discipleship
●Revitalizing churches through strategy development and action planning
●Assisting churches with the process of calling a new pastor or staff
●Evaluating church health and recommending solutions for healthy growth
●Offering prayerful, practical help to churches in crisis or conflict
●Developing leaders through an intentional equipping and discipling process
●Developing a pathway to equip aspiring and new pastors in partnership with the BSCNC
REACH OUT – FOCUSING ON CHURCH PLANTING AND MISSIONS
●CVBA Church Planting Team led by Dr. John Morrison
●Connecting churches with relevant ministry partners to reach their neighbors to the nations
●Helping churches connect through praying, giving and going on mission with local, state, national and international entities
●Developing a church planting residency program in partnership with NAMB and the BSCNC
●Training those involved in planting churches in partnership with the BSCNC
●Supporting church planters in their mission both locally and globally
●Assist churches in replanting, fostering and merging
●Ongoing response to Disaster Recovery
●Assist churches with outreach events including VBS and ServeNC
